AARP Free Tax Prep
Open to all ages and to nonAARP members.
Mondays and Tuesdays, 9am-1pm. First come, first served.
We're looking for volunteers during Master's Week (spring break) when we welcome Family Promise families. We need help: preparing an evening meal, hosting overnight, hosting Saturday in the day, moving in (Apr 1, 2pm), and moving out (Apr 8, 7am).
This year we are partnering with Quest UMC. Our team is led by Mary Eash and Quest’s team is led by David Newton.
Wall of Living Stones
The wall in the Marye Garrett Room is being given new life. If you would like to add a living stone, to honor a family member or loved one, the cost is $100 per permanent plaque.
We have church members who worship through work; we need to provide supplies for them to move forward. A Thank You sign outside the door of each adopted room will list donors for the room each calendar year. More than one person may adopt a room. Applications are in the church office.
The next transformed room will be the Clothes Closet which will be moving to a larger room. Marvin received a $1000 grant from the Columbia Foundation to cover costs.
