Prayer Garden
Amid the noise from the traffic on Belair Road, one can find solitude and tranquility in the Marvin United Methodist Prayer Garden in the woods behind the Church's Family Life Center.
The pathway to the Prayer Garden leads from the parking lot into the woods. It sits approximately 50 yards up the path through shrubs, plants and wood's natural vegetation. A 12-foot cross sits in the clearing surrounded by nine wooden benches placed among the trees and plants. There is also a prayer altar if one feels led to kneel and pray. Our Easter Sunrise service is held in the Garden each year. The Prayer Garden was created to glorify God and our love of Jesus . It is there for all to use, to talk with the Lord, and to discover Christ through the Love and Grace of God. If you would like us to pray for you, please send us your prayer request here |
