Prayer Garden
Amid the noise from the traffic on Belair Road, one finds solitude and calmness in the Marvin United Methodist Prayer Garden in the woods behind the Church's Family Life Center.
The pathway to the Prayer Garden leads from the parking lot into the woods. It sits approximately 50 yards up the path through shrubs, plants and wood's natural vegetation. A twelve foot cross sits in the clearing surrounded by nine wood benches placed randomly in the trees and plants. There is also a prayer altar if one would like to kneel and pray. The Prayer Garden was created to glorify God and our Love of Jesus at Marvin Church. It is there for all to use, to talk with the Lord, and to discover Christ through the Love and Grace of God. Marvin's Easter Sunrise service is held in the Garden each year. |  |
