Part-Time | $40 per appearance | Sunday Mornings + Occasional Special Events
Marvin United Methodist Church is seeking a compassionate and responsible Children’s Ministry Attendant to join our ministry team! This part-time role is perfect for someone who loves working with children, values a nurturing church environment, and desires to make a difference in the lives of young families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide safe, engaging, and age-appropriate care for children during worship and special events
• Lead children in stories, crafts, games, and prayer
• Ensure all children are released to a responsible adult at pick-up
• Collaborate with fellow staff and volunteers to create a caring and joyful environment
• Follow Safe Sanctuaries protocols and maintain a clean, welcoming space
Qualifications:
• Experience working with children preferred
• Friendly, dependable, and patient
• Willing to obtain CPR certification and complete Safe Sanctuaries training
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Details:
• Compensation: $40 per appearance (approx. 2 hours per week)
• Additional opportunities to serve during special services and events throughout the year
• Supportive church staff and opportunities for growth

CLOSED - Pianist / Accompanist Wanted (Job # 001) - CLOSED
Position Filled Marvin UMC is looking for a pianist. The church pianist provides piano support to the Director of Music and choir. Excellent sight-reading skills and ability to improvise over chords is a must. Choir knowledge is preferred. Styles primarily include traditional music. Services are Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. proceeded by rehearsal. Special Services include but are not limited to special services on Christmas, Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday. Other opportunities include Easter and Christmas, Funerals & Weddings. Pay is commensurate with experience.
