Rev. Michael Meyers
Incoming Pastor
Since July 12, 2026

Picture
Driven by a desire to serve from an early age, Michael enlisted in the military while still in high school and went on to attend Georgia Military College in Milledgeville as a Cadet. This early foundation of discipline and leadership paved the way for his transition into public service. He stepped into local government and public service at the state capital, working directly for policymakers and changemakers who were shaping the community and the state.
Leveraging his deep knowledge of politics, community dynamics, and relationship-building, Michael seamlessly transitioned his leadership into the media landscape. His impactful work in community journalism and political analysis has been featured in several publications nationally, including regular spotlights as a political analyst for Fox 54, a columnist for The Augusta Press, and later as the publisher for The Metro Courier Newspaper.
Parallel to his civic leadership is a lifetime of dedicated community service and deep spiritual devotion. His spiritual journey began at Thankful Baptist Church, where he was baptized by the Reverend N. T. Young.  In 2019, his spiritual journey led him to be elected as the Pastor of the Pleasant Rock Baptist Church in Ninety Six, South Carolina, where he faithfully served his congregation until 2026. In recognition of his philanthropy and dedicated work in advancing the Kingdom of God, Pastor Meyers was bestowed with an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity in Christian Theology from The School of The Great Commission Seminary and Bible College in 2021. Committed to lifelong learning and theological excellence, Michael holds an Associate degree from Georgia Military College, a Bachelor’s degree from Omega Bible Institute and Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity from Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary.
Known for a charismatic preaching and teaching style, Pastor Michael combines visionary leadership and strategic planning to inspire others. By using powerful storytelling to offer fresh, unforgettable perspectives, he leaves congregations eager to know more.
He remains close to his mother, Sharon, who continues to reside nearby, maintaining strong family roots in the community. As a proud father, his legacy of service lives on through his children.
