Faith Painting

MEETING WEEKLY
Reopening FEB. 25
Thursdays from 4-6:00 pm

Faith Painting is waiting patiently to reopen to the public.
When we do we will a FREE Paint a Paver Day.
This paver will be displayed outside of the Sanctuary or the Family Life Center.  Coffee and tea provided, bring your own snacks.  Seats are limited.  Stay tuned for more information.

​CHANGES:
  Please bring your own Sanitation wipes, gloves, and anything else to prevent any cross contamination.


​​Faith Painting
4:00 pm - 6:00 p.m., Thursdays     (JAN - NOV)

Acrylic painting and fellowship, come have fun, learn, while you paint.  No experience needed, only the love and joy of painting. Let Dianne Masse guide you in your journey of creating beautiful things from the artist within.  All levels of experience are welcome to come and have fun.

We have many Projects happening at the same time to include rocks, pavers, canvas, and commissioned work.  

All are welcomed to join in, we ask $40 per month for supplies,

Donations:
Supplies can also be donated.
Liquatex paint tubes or tubs
Sargent Arts Paint
​Vivant Paper Towels or any paper towels
​NO oil paints please.

Scheduled Monthly Events:
1st , 4th & 5th Thursdays for regular classes.

2nd Thursday, will be Scripture painting,  Let the Holy spirit guide you in this weeks scripture reading.

​3rd Thursday, will be Paver Painting. Pavers are part of the Church Beautification Project, pavers may also go home with the painter.  Pavers create beauty for the church, they sit at the foundation of our Family Life Center, occasionally we sell them.  Each paver is painted in the Faith Painting room, Dianne provides the weatherproofing and displaying along our church.

Supplies:
Supplies are purchased from various locations on "As needed bases" only.  The Church controls the funds, therefore Dianne receives no additional payments of services rendered.  The group agrees where additional funds are spent for example the Music Ministry, General Fund, or Kitchen... 
      Students may bring supplies for the entire class for example Paper towels, snacks, paper pallets, water, coffee, containers....

Dianne Masse is the Instructor, She has been painting all her life, she also has a degree in Graphic Design and other disciplines.  She also plays the Double Bass for the Columbia County Orchestra, so she leaves early on some Thursdays to attend rehearsals.  She is also Marvin UMC's Administrative Assistant.

The picture displayed is her rendition of the 1934 "Devine Mercy of Jesus." She completed this painting June 2020.   She is currently doing a series in Saints in Sacred Art of original design.  Her next piece is "Our Lady of Guadeloupe," Saint Isadore of Seville, Saint Cecilia, Saint Blaise, Saint Catherine of Bologna, and many more.

In between all the sacred art she will be rendering a large piece of Marvin UMC in all its beauty in the early 1950s.
